The Dubai Watch Week show is back this year and it has great news for the horological community. Indeed, the management of the fair secured the participation of Rolex this year. A unique feat considering that the brand traditionally exhibits only at Baselworld, among all watch fairs. We can already guess what the highlight of this year’s edition will be…

The news also shows the power of the Seddiqi family, the “king” of watch retail in the Middle East – read here our interview with Mohammed Abdulmagied Seddiqi during the last edition of the Dubai Watch Week in 2017.

Europa Star will be back for special coverage during this year’s edition. Taking place from 20th-24th November, the Dubai Watch Week celebrates two of the industry’s biggest progress drivers; innovation and technology.

The 2019 edition of Dubai Watch Week will include an exhibition exploring the universe of the Oyster Perpetual Submariner.

This is the first time that Rolex will participate at a watchmaking event in the Middle East, with a dedicated exhibition exploring the universe of the Oyster Perpetual Submariner. Through panels and interactive displays, the Submariner exhibition tells the story of how the celebrated divers’ watch developed over the years. Guests will also discover how, over time, the Submariner became an emblematic watch on land as well as at sea.

Abdul Hamied Ahmed Seddiqi, Vice Chairman of Seddiqi Holding.

“We are extremely honoured to have Rolex presented for the first time at Dubai Watch Week. This is something really special for Dubai following the opening of the largest Rolex Boutique in the world in 2018,” said Abdul Hamied Ahmed Seddiqi, Vice Chairman of Seddiqi Holding.

In celebration of this momentous occasion, Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons is also organizing an exhibition that will feature some inimitable vintage Rolex timepieces.

Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons is the region’s leading retailer of luxury watches & jewellery. Established in 1950, the company is recognised as a pioneer in the region, with an extensive collection of over 60 luxury timepiece and jewellery brands across 50 locations in the United Arab Emirates.
