Full success at the last masterclass of Bovet 1822, in the Chateau de Motiers, Switzerland
From 11 to 15 November, Maison BOVET 1822 welcomed its collector and journalist friends to the Château de Môtiers, for its Masterclass event.
Every guest had a whole day in which to discover the world of BOVET 1822 through the three introductory workshops led by the Maison’s artisans.
From painting in miniature on mother of pearl to hand engraving and an introduction to watchmaking, the participants of the three sessions were all given an insight into the painstaking attention to detail required to practice the arts of watchmaking as they have defined Maison BOVET for almost two centuries.
This engaging experience will undoubtedly have given the participants a new perspective on the delicate balance between the technicality of a timepiece and the decorative arts, and might even have awoken some new vocations.
The passion showed by all the attendees uncovered some real talent and in fact the week was so enjoyable that Maison BOVET is setting to repeat this Masterclass, to foster greater understanding and the long-term perpetuation of traditional handcrafted Haute Horlogerie.
We look forward to seeing you at the next event during Dubai Watch Week, where our master artisan-engraver will present an engraving Masterclass, from 21 to 24 November 2019.
