Audemars Piguet announces the successor to François Henry Benhamias. It will be Ilaria Resta, the current president of the perfumery division at Firmenich.
Audemars Piguet has found a successor for long-term boss François-Henry Bennahmias. Resta is moving from Firmenich to the watch company. Resta will join the company in August and will be the new head of the company from the beginning of 2024, the independent luxury watchmaker based in Le Brassus, Jura, announced on Monday.

Audemars Piguet has thus concluded its search for a new boss. The company had already announced Bennahmias’ retirement at the end of 2023 in June a year ago. Bennahmias has been with Audemars Piguet for almost 30 years, including around eleven years as CEO. It has now become known that Bennahmias will leave the company. A year ago, it was said that he would join the group’s board of directors.
Ilaria Resta is moving from the fragrance group Firmenich to Audemars Piguet. The Swiss-Italian dual citizen brings with her more than 26 years of experience in important positions in large companies, the statement continues. Just last February, she was promoted to Head of Perfumery & Ingredients at Firmenich. Before that, she was responsible for the group’s perfume business and had worked for several years at Proctor & Gamble, among others.
There was also a change in the Presidium
Audemars Piguet had already made an important personnel decision in November last year. The former head of the US jewellery company Tiffany, Alessandro Bogliolo, took over the chairmanship from Jasmine Audemars. Jasmine Audemars is the great-granddaughter of the company’s founder Jules-Louis Audemars and continues to chair the Audemars-Piguet Foundation.
